Daman (2322m) is a tourist hill station, just 77 km away from Kathmandu in Makwanpur district. With readily access to public transport, it takes 3 hrs to reach Daman from Kathmandu by road. The hill offers a great panorama of Himalayan peaks from Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Ganesh Himal in the West to Makalu and Everest to the East. Besides, Daman also has oldest botanical garden, dense rhododendron forest and Tibetan Buddhist monastery.
